At PICit, we’re excited to share that Fredericia Shipping A/S has started using our Transport Order Management System (TOMS).
TOMS meets the needs of transport companies for real-time systems that can digitize daily operations and save time for both office staff and drivers.
Following the launch phase, we asked Morten Korspang, Logistics Manager at Fredericia Shipping A/S, what he and his colleagues think about PICit and TOMS. Below, you can read what he had to say.
Why did you choose PICit? We chose PICit because they were already a supplier of ours. We had previously spoken with PICit about challenges related to a lack of digitization in our logistics operations, and we needed a supplier who could understand our needs and develop a system to support our many different transport-related tasks.
How do you feel the launch phase with PICit went?
Both the launch and development phases with PICit have been extremely positive. From the very first meeting with the TOMS team, we had a good feeling that this was the right choice. We had many requests and challenges, all of which were met with the response: “We can do that.”
The actual transition from our previous system to PICit’s TOMS was a bit tough, in the sense that we all had to learn to use a new system. Both office staff and drivers had to adjust to working in a new, digital way. We had 14 very intense days, but the support and issue resolution from PICit was outstanding – from early morning to late evening.
How does using TOMS affect your daily workflow?
TOMS has significantly changed our everyday operations. We have moved from using only paper to having everything gathered in the app. This has saved us a lot of paperwork and eliminated the need to physically pass papers around. We now have a much better overview – both of the current workday and of future bookings. Our customers have their own login, from where they can create bookings, track their bookings, and correct any missing information.
How do you experience PICit's customer service?
PICit’s customer service has been top-notch. We've had a number of urgent fixes that have always been resolved very quickly. The team behind TOMS has made a tremendous effort to develop this product.
Would you recommend TOMS to others?
TOMS is a product that others in the transport industry can benefit from. I would definitely recommend TOMS to others, as it is user-friendly and also helps streamline workflows. A big praise to PICit and the TOMS team, who have really made – and continue to make – a great effort with TOMS.
